Renault Kwid, the flagship model of the largest French manufacturer Renault in our country is doing wonders in the Indian automobile market. Kwid still looks unstoppable even in the new year and has recently registered a growth rate of 9.2 percent in its sales this December 2016. Renault Kwid is the only car responsible for the company’s development and growth in the country’s auto market after Renault Duster Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
With over 1.65 lakh unit bookings, Renault Kwid made into the list of most popular cars for the year 2016. This car has also been listed on the top sales list with the highest number of sales for the company in 2016. Renault Kwid is responsible for a growth rate of over 146 percent for the French manufacturer Renault in the country and is being listed on the top sales chart among few other companies like Maruthi Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra, and also Nissan.
In December 2016, Renault Kwid reached or notched a figure of 1,00,000 unit sales in the country. Interestingly, Renault is a well-known brand in the country with very few outlets of over 248 across India which makes the company lag behind the country’s largest car manufacturer Maruthi Suzuki. With its SUV flagship Duster, Renault has built some popularity in the Indian auto market.
As per the auto sources, Sumit Sawhney, the Chief Executive Officer of Renault in India has said in a press meet that the company officials are considering increasing the number of outlets for Renault in the country to increase the sales. And now, according to some sources, Renault is expected to launch one new product every consecutive year, over the next five years in the Indian auto market.
