As we observe, there will definitely be a stiff competition among the carmakers this year in the compact crossover hatchback segment in the Indian automobile market. While the India’s largest automobile manufacturer Maruthi Suzuki has placed all its plans for the year, it will be releasing its most awaited compact crossover Ignis in the market in the coming days of January, Japan’s auto giant Nissan’s low-cost brand Datsun is planning to launch its Datsun Go-Cross in 2017 in the Indian market.
As per the sources, Datsun Go-Cross is a compact crossover and is also the flagship model of Datsun in the country. Datsun Go-Cross will be the fourth offering from the company in the country after Datsun Go, Datsun Redi-Go, and Datsun Go Plus. In the present auto market prevailing in the country, Datsun has earlier launched its Redi-Go concept into the market following the success of most popular Renault Kwid. But, the company has registered a little growth despite the cheapest prices it offered in the whole segment.
This Nissan’s low-cost brand is planning for an increasing growth of its market share in the Indian automobile market with the launch of Datsun Go-Cross concept in the country. If everything for the company goes well this year, the auto firm will launch Datsun Go-Cross in the country to rival the most anticipated car “Maruthi Suzuki Ignis”. As expected and as usual, Datsun will offer its Go-Cross concept model at a very low price when compared to all other products in the compact crossover hatchback segment.
Datsun, the automobile partner of the Japanese firm Nissan in the country had earlier showcased the concept of “Datsun Go-Cross” at the Auto Expo 2016 held in New Delhi the past year. Under the hood, the Go Cross is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder DOHC 12-valve engine.
