Maruthi Suzuki Ignis gets a launch date in India


Yes, it’s official that the Maruthi Suzuki Ignis will be launched into the Indian automobile market with wholesome of goodies on January 13 i.e., on Sankranthi festival. However, many of us have already noticed that the Maruthi Suzuki company has started the bookings for an electronation programme named “IGNIS ELECTRONATION” where the Maruthi Suzuki Ignis gets launched. This programme is going to be officially commenced by the company in Mumbai and Delhi.

Maruthi Suzuki Ignis is the most awaited or the anticipated car of the year 2016 which has been in the media and also on social media networks like Facebook and Twitter after revealing the promos, pictures, and also the teasers of the car. As per the sources, the latest update is that the Maruthi Suzuki Ignis is gearing up for its launch on 13 January 2017.

Maruthi Suzuki Ignis has been designed and developed based on the concept of i-M4 which was first unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, Delhi. When keenly observed, the Ignis will get a narrowed rear with over 200 liters of luggage space included in it. The car is also rumored to come up with the best-in-class features like electric switch controlled seats at the front and the rear as well.

Ignis is the all-new product from Maruthi Suzuki which is going to be sold on the floors of “Nexa” which is the brand new showroom introduced by the company in the past year. Maruthi Suzuki Ignis will follow the Baleno and the Vitara Brezza SUV on the floors of Nexa showroom. This car comes under the sub four-meter compact segment according to the company’s official announcement and will be vying against the Hyundai i20, Renault Kwid in the competitive hatchback segment.

Ignis will be powered by a four-cylinder, DOHC 1.2-litre petrol power unit which is more enough to churn out 84bhp of power and a maximum torque of 115Nm.
